Tobiah Newton, Managing Director

Prior to founding Burstall Capital, Tobiah spent seven years at Amazon where he led UK reverse logistics operations and later a global team of environmental professionals responsible for compliance across all operations facilities. His work included reinventing Amazon's damaged-inventory systems, generating more than $120 million in cost reduction, managing regulatory negotiations, strengthening/scaling processes, and developing AI-based tooling used worldwide. Most recently, he held a global commercial strategy role with AWS.

Earlier in his career, Tobiah managed remediation and demolition projects at Imperial Oil across over 100 upstream oil and gas sites. He worked closely with regulators and Indigenous communities and helped deliver major remediation projects in northern Canada.

Tobiah holds an MBA from UBC Sauder and a degree in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University. Born and raised in Alberta, he lives in Calgary with his family and enjoys skiing, golf and endurance running.
